ROAD TRIP!!!

Well, the time had come to take Braden on his first trip to the old stomping grounds...Illinois! We headed down to DeKalb for NIU Homecoming (Jacob's favorite time of year) and to meet the DeKalb "family", and then we were off to Bloomington to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa. We were greeted in DeKalb with much anticipation as none of our friends had yet to meet the man. Everyone was so excited to meet Braden. Braden also got to meet his future best friend Jack Kukla. Lindsay and I figured since we are best friends and the boys are only 2 1/2 months apart that it is there destiny to also be best friends. After our weekend in DeKalb we headed to Bloomington for some relaxation with Junebug and G'Papa. We had such a good time hanging out and shopping. Braden adjusted well to being away from home and did some of his best sleeping at Grandma and Grandpa's. Braden also got to meet his cousins Anna and Francie who had waited a very long time to meet him. Francie even offered Jacob $30 to let her take Braden home with her! We had a wonderful time and hope to see everyone again real soon!
